sordino

Privacy policy

Effective 4 November 2026. Applies to the Sordino app for Android (com.gethush.app), which was called Hush until that date.

Your notifications

With notification access, Sordino reads the notifications your apps post: the app, the title, the text, the time and the category the app gave it. Sordino uses them to decide what to show, hide or hold, to learn which apps you open, and to write the quiet-hours summary. All of this happens on your phone. Notification content is stored only in the app's private storage and is never uploaded to us or to anyone else.

Sordino keeps your history for 90 days. You can delete it at any time in Settings, Data, Delete history. Uninstalling Sordino deletes everything it stored.

Smarter sorting

With Smarter sorting turned on, Sordino reads unclear notifications on your phone to sort them better. Summaries never depend on it. On some phones this uses a feature built into Android; on others it needs a one-time download from Google Play. The notification text it reads stays on your phone. Sordino checks whether the built-in feature is available each time it starts, and that feature reports diagnostics to Google: the phone model, Android version, app version, error codes, the size of each request and how long it took, and an identifier for this installation. It never sends the notification text.

Do Not Disturb

If you allow it, Sordino turns Do Not Disturb on at the start of your quiet hours and off at the end. It changes nothing else in your phone's settings.

Advertising

Sordino shows ads from Google AdMob inside the app's screens, never in notifications. Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address and how you interact with ads, and may use them for personalised ads where you have agreed to it. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland you are asked for consent first. In US states with their own privacy laws you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your data for advertising. Where either applies, you can change your choice at any time in Settings, Privacy, Ad choices. Notification content is never shared with advertisers. A subscription, or a 24-hour pass earned by watching an ad, removes ads. Google's practices: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Purchases

The subscription that removes ads is bought through Google Play. To confirm a subscription on your devices, Sordino uses RevenueCat, which receives a random app user ID, the purchase receipt from Google Play, and the app version, Android version and store country. It does not receive your name, email address or notification content. Payment details are handled by Google Play only.

Crash reports

Release builds send crash and freeze reports to Sentry: the error, the code location, the app version, the Android version and the phone model, with a random identifier for this installation. Sordino also reports when an app session starts and ends, so the share of sessions that crash can be counted. These reports do not include notification content, and screenshots and view captures are turned off.

Backups

Android's backup copies only your settings: quiet hours, filter choices, theme, delivery times, the keyword rules you write, and your choices for each app, with its name. Your notification history is excluded from cloud backup and from device-to-device transfer.

What we collect

We do not run servers for Sordino and receive nothing from the app beyond the crash reports and purchase confirmations described above, and the emails you choose to send us. Feedback and "Report this summary" open your email app addressed to sordino@toolsvu.com; a summary report holds only the reason you picked and the app and Android versions, never the summary or any notification text. The advertising, purchase, crash-report and on-device services above are run by Google, RevenueCat and Sentry under their own privacy policies. Apart from the advertising described above, no data is sold or shared.

Children

Sordino is meant for adults and is not directed at children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new effective date.
